| Last week, the hotel got new lobby signs. We also changed our Manager on Duty Sign as well. I got really excited. So here's a picture of it.

| The situation happened about 2 weeks ago:
A guest stops by the front desk and starts flirting with a team member. He intially checked in and wanted to know where the closest golf course was. We told him that the closest golf course is Strawberry Farms Golf Course and the shuttle driver could take him for $3/person each way. So he goes up to his room to unload and comes back down asking me if I could get the driver to take him to the golf course. While he was waiting for the driver to come back to the hotel, he started hitting on both of us. He asked us if we wanted to go golfing. We declined. He mentioned that all we had to do was drive a cart and we could have free beer. My team member was getting all excited about the beer and I declined the beer, but I did mentioned that he should buy us some beer and bring it back to the hotel. The guest mentioned that there was a bar at the hotel and we could get some beer there. I then mentioned that I didn't want beer from the bar. Anyhow, he walks toward the main lobby doors and mentions that he was going to wait outside. I jokingly mentioned to the guest to bring a giant golf ball back for us. He says "I'll try".
So today my team member who was working me that day asked if I got the golf ball. I said "no". So I ended up finding this golf ball in my drawer. The golf ball was a regular sized golf ball, but it had a note on the box. It said "No big golf balls. Why does size always matter? See you next year"
LOL!!!! What the heck?

| Okay....so I've been working the last 8 days at work. Apparently by the7th and 8th day (Sunday and Today), I was starting to get really exhausted. One of the reasons why I ended up with a 8th work week was because no one else could. Anyhow, my co-worker and I decide to pull off a practical joke at my manager which didn't quite work out as planned. The joke was to text my manager telling him that I would be out sick so that he would have to literally come to work at 7am instead of his usual 9am. It didn't work out because he didn't get the message until 7am which, in which he ended up getting the "Just Kidding" text first at 6:50am instead of the "Cecilia called in sick". Anyway, the point of it all was that I was reading comics during break and I came across Dilbert comics from yesterday's newspaper. The comic strips was kinda of related to my lil prank. Here ya go:

| Today, I was reading the USA Today during my breaks and I came across the book section. The one thing that caught my eye was a book called "The Fortune Cooke Chronicles" by Jennifer 8 Lee. This book supposedly goes through everything about Chinese cuisine like culinary history, dissecting popular myths, and some discussions about the misguided notions about Chinese food. I thought this article was quite interesting because it talks about food, some sort of history, myths, and it has to do something with Chinese culture. Anyway, I'm actually thinking of getting the book. Here is the link to the website: http://www.fortunecookiechronicles.com/. I hope you enjoy it too.
